By Jawad Ahmed ISLAMABAD, Mar 14 (INP-WealthPK): To equip the youth of Pakistan with the latest technical education and enable them to play their due role in the ongoing China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the National Logistics Cell (NLC) recently inked an MOU with a Chinese institute on a dual-diploma joint technical education program. The Applied Technologies Institutes of NLC (ATINs), Tang International Education (TIE) Group (China) and Zalmi Foundation (ZF) inked the MOU. According to the NLC, the students now will be able to study for two years at ATIN Mandra, Rawalpindi and for one year at a counterpart institute in China. The main objective of collaboration among the ATIN, TIE, and ZF (a strategic partner of Tang International in Pakistan) is to give international exposure to the Pakistani students. The international diploma will provide the students with the most up-to-date techniques and technology while also increasing their chances of obtaining better employment opportunities in Pakistan and abroad. As part of this split education approach, 75 students would be taught and trained in three trades: civil engineering, information technology, and mechanical technologies. ‘’ATINs imparts practical education to individuals from (small) towns across Pakistan. Our objective is to improve the people's lives by empowering them with knowledge that will help them in seeking careers and finding jobs across Pakistan and abroad,’’ the NLC spokesperson told WealthPk. The TIE group offers split educational programs. This group is one of the leading educational, skill and vocational development collaborators across China with subsidiaries in Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, and South Korea. The spokesperson said the organization was committed to speeding up the country’s economic growth and empowering the youth by providing them with the latest technical education in the fields of civil technology, construction machinery, driving and other applied technologies. He added that the NLC was not only participating in providing multimodal logistics system in the country, but also contributing to the skill development of the youth by providing them with technical and vocational training. The ATINs has enabled over 64,000 individuals from semi-rural to rural communities to seek careers in engineering, logistics, IT and hospitality in urban communities and other economic zones. Today, the ATINs is one of the largest technical and vocational training institutes in Pakistan, offering short courses, certificates, and degrees in various locations around the country.
