The Senate on Monday passed five private members’ bills including the Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2024 (substitution of section 17A), the Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2026, (Amendment of section 11), the ICT Rights of Persons with Disability (Amendment) Bill, 2024, the Capital Development Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2022 and the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2023 as reported by the concerned standing committees. The bills were moved by Senators Samina Mumtaz Zehri, Sarmad Ali, Dr Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur and Fawzia Arshad in the House. The House passed the bills through clause by clause reading.
