More than 216,000 children were administered anti-polio drops across the district on the second day of anti-polio campaign, achieving 92 percent of the daily target.Presiding over an evening performance review meeting here on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhary was informed that 216,015 children received the vaccine on the drive's second day.
The meeting was briefed that 3,473 children, who were previously recorded as not available (NA), were tracked down and vaccinated, while three reported refusal cases were successfully resolved by the field teams.Additionally, 621 children were administered zero-dose vaccines during the day.
Providing a cumulative report of the first two days, officials informed the Deputy Commissioner that 445,742 children have been vaccinated across the district so far. The teams have successfully reached 50,665 NA children and resolved nine total refusal cases, while 1,286 children have been covered under the zero-dose category during the two-day period.
