Federal government has decided to mark Earth Day on Saturday. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed concerned authorities to turn off lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Earth Day. The Cabinet Division has issued a notification regarding Earth Day.

This time, Earth Day is being celebrated with the theme of giving the earth an hour. On the occasion of Earth Day, the lights of the Prime Minister's House, Parliament, and the President's House will be turned off.  The lights of all federal ministries and institutions will be turned off for one hour.
