The district administration launched anti-polio campaign starting April 13,as Deputy Commissioner(DC), Muhammad Nauman Siddique inaugurated the drive at Shahbaz Sharif Hospital, on Saturday.The DC formally opened the campaign by administering polio drops to children,marking the beginning of an extensive vaccination effort across the district.

More than one million children under the age of five will be vaccinated during the campaign.Authorities have constituted over 4000 mobile,fixed and transit teams to ensure comprehensive coverage. Around 230 fixed sites and 148 transit points have been set up,while 4,399 teams will operate in the field under the supervision of 833 area in-charges. Additionally,135 union council medical officers will monitor the campaign.
