Meanwhile, authorities in Tehran have reported extensive residential damage following ongoing strikes.Municipal officials estimate that around 33,000 homes across the city have been affected. A spokesperson for the Tehran mayor, Mohammad Khani, said the damage varies significantly. Some homes sustained minor damage, including broken windows and doors, while others have suffered severe destruction requiring major repairs or complete reconstruction.
He added that 1,869 families have been displaced as a result of the situation. Of these, approximately 1,245 families have been relocated to 23 residential complexes across the city for temporary accommodation. The authorities said rehabilitation efforts have already begun, with repair work initiated on more than 4,000 homes.
The restoration process is being carried out directly by municipal bodies or through financial assistance provided to affected residents. The analysts caution that the scale of urban damage is worsening the humanitarian situation, with the resettlement and rehabilitation of displaced families emerging as a major challenge.
