Authorities said the collision occurred after Woods allegedly looked down at his phone moments before impact, causing his vehicle to clip the trailer and roll over.

A police affidavit cited by reports revealed that responding deputies observed several signs of impairment. Officers noted that Woods had bloodshot, glassy eyes, was sweating heavily, and showed unusually dilated pupils.His behavior was described as both lethargic and slow, while also being “extremely alert and talkative,” with hiccups observed throughout the interaction.
