Two dacoits were killed in a police encounter in Naseerabad area of Rawalpindi early Saturday. According to police, four robbers riding two motorcycles opened fire on a police party in the early hours of the morning in Naseerabad area. Two robbers were injured during the firing and two escaped while firing. Both the injured robbers died while being shifted to the hospital. The accused also opened fire on Constable Waseem Abbas, who was safe due to his bulletproof jacket.
The deceased robbers have been identified as Salman and Khalil. The motorcycle recovered from the possession of the accused had been snatched during a robbery a few days ago. The accused had opened fire during the incident and killed citizen Shah Faisal Khan. Senior police officers reached the spot on information of the incident and search is on to arrest the absconding accused.
