To boost revenue, he proposed establishing NADRA and passport service counters at general stores and pharmacies nationwide, aiming to increase accessibility while generating additional funds. Emphasizing the need for swift action, Minister Khan directed officials to prepare a financial plan for Pakistan Post within a week, urging them to tackle inefficiencies and reduce dependence on government funds.
Highlighting the urgency of reform, the minister stressed that the institution "cannot survive on high expenses and low income" and called for the elimination of vacant posts. Minister Khan tasked senior officers to create a coherent policy framework tailored to modern postal demands and encouraged staff to work with diligence, stating, "We must abandon complacency and work day and night to save Pakistan Post." Federal secretary communications has been directed to submit a comprehensive report on financial targets and operational improvements within a week.
