A man was shot dead for demanding return of his money he lent to a friend in Pattoki. In the FIR,  deceased Tariq’s wife stated that she, her husband and their son went to the house of Jawwad to collect the money but a hot exchange of words erupted after which they decided to return to their home. She further stated that she and her husband stopped at a pharmacy located on Chunian Road where Jawwad and his colleagues were turned up.

Jawwad asked her husband to accompany him as he is going to return his money. But that also led to a tiff between them, during which Jawwad asked his friends not to spare Tariq this time and shot bullets at him, killing him on the spot. Soon after the firing accused Jawwad and his colleagues escaped from the murder scene. Saddar Police Station registered a first information report (FIR) against three known and three unknown accused and started investigation.
