Former information minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has stepped down from her position as the Central Information Secretary of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP). She tendered her resignation in a letter addressed to the party president, Abdul Aleem Khan. In her resignation letter, Dr Awan cited personal commitments and health issues as the reasons behind her decision to resign from the party position. She wrote, "I am unable to continue fulfilling my duties and responsibilities as the Central Information Secretary of IPP due to personal commitments and health concerns. Therefore, I am resigning from my official party position." However, she affirmed her continued support for the party, stating: "I will remain a member and continue supporting the party in the public and national interest."
