Chinese embassy hands over donation of 300,000 USD to PakistanBreaking

Islamabad (INP) : Chinese Embassy here on Monday handed over donation of 300,000 US dollars to Pakistan Red Crescent Society for taking part in flood's relief efforts.

A Cheque handing over ceremony held at Chinese Embassy which was attended by Chinese ambassador Nong Rong, additional secretary Ministry of foreign affairs Mumtaz Baloch and chairman Pakistan red crescent society Abrar Ul Haq.

The donation is part of Chinese major assistance being provided to Pakistan to help Pakistan in hour of distress.

It may be pointed out that China is a first country which has announced donations for carrying out flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in Pakistan.

President Xi Jinping in his recent message to his Pakistani counterpart Dr. Arif Alvi has expressed his country’s resolve to stand with Pakistan to help the affected people.

While delivering a speech at the event, Chinese ambassador Nong Rong said that Chinese government and people understand the impact of devastated floods across Pakistan.

China being a brotherly country will always stand by Pakistan and all kind of emergency assistance will also be provided in the relief operation.
He added, Chinese President and the Premier have also sent messages of brotherhood to Pakistan in this hour of need and disaster.

He hoped that Chinese assistance will be fruitful for all the people in need and it will help in overcoming their difficulties.

Ambassador also said that China will also provide the relief assistance in reconstruction phase, across Pakistan.

At the event, chairman Pakistan red Crescent society Abrar Ulhaq thanked Chinese ambassador for the timely assistance that will help the flood victims in mitigating their sufferings.

He said, Pakistan is facing a huge disaster of its history that is unimaginable and hard to believe but with the help of our friends and Chinese brothers, Pakistan hopes to overcome the hardships.
