The Shandong Tongshan Children’s Welfare and Public Welfare Development Center, the China Pakistan Medical Association (CPMA) and Pakistan’s Shifa Healthcare Group jointly organized two student welfare events at a Government Girls High School and a Government Elementary School in Sargodha, Punjab, delivering educational and sports supplies to 100 students.

Distributed materials include school bags, coloring books, markers, geometry boxes, footballs and other educational items. Paintings created by Chinese children were also presented as gifts, adding a cultural and people-to-people dimension to the initiative.

The program aims not only to provide practical support but also to encourage students to pursue education with confidence and determination, particularly in communities where access to learning resources remains limited.

On the occasion, students presented colorful tableaux and performances highlighting the friendship between the two countries, bringing a celebratory tone to the events and underscoring the warm reception extended to the visiting organizers.

In a related announcement, Mr. Rana Umar Farooq, CEO of Shifa Healthcare Group, said the computer laboratory at Government Girls High School Chak No. 91 NB would be upgraded to give students improved opportunities to develop digital and information technology skills, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Monday.

The move is expected to help bridge the digital divide and better prepare students for a technology-driven economy.
