Zong 4G (CMPak), the subsidiary of China Mobile Communications Corporation, has started offering free calling minutes to its users in flood-affected areas of Pakistan.
“Zong understands the difficult times that the nation is going through and we are here to make sure that you remain connected with your loved ones; We are offering free Zong minutes daily, for flood-affected citizens,” reads a statement of Zong 4G.
According to a Gwadar Pro's report, users can avail free minutes by dialing *9090# from their mobile sets.
The Chinese cellular company announced the package when monsoon rains and floods damaged over one million houses in Pakistan, affecting 33,046,329 people.
At least 1162 people were killed and 3554 others injured during this year’s monsoon season.
