Sheikh Rashid, leader of the Awami Muslim League Pakistan (AMLP), on Wednesday said that the government has not finalised an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) despite the dollar’s appreciation in the interbank. Taking to Twitter, former Interior Minister Rashid said that the current political uncertainty could lead the country to an economic disaster. He said that there was no other solution than elections in November or December. While talking to the media outside SC, Rashid said, "I have submitted a petition in the Supreme Court for the right to vote for overseas Pakistanis."
He said that Pervaiz Elahi will be the next Punjab Chief Minister and no one can stop that from happening. He added that Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain would never support the "imported government". While levelling allegations against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, he stated that wherever vote-buying was taking place, former President Zardari would be involved.
