Pakistan is gearing up for a landmark week in its technological history as Indus AI Week 2026 takes center stage in Islamabad from February 9–15, 2026. Far more than a headline event, this government-led initiative is a bold statement that artificial intelligence is no longer a distant policy buzzword in fact it’s now a national capability and strategic priority.

Organized by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Indus AI Week is designed around three core pillars: high-level policy dialogue, innovation in practice, and nationwide engagement. The week begins with the Indus AI Summit, a flagship invite-only conference on February 9 at the Jinnah Convention Center. Bringing together leaders from government, global AI experts, industry innovators, academia, and investors, the summit will set Pakistan’s strategic direction on sovereign AI and artificial general intelligence (AGI). Expected outcomes include evidence-based policy recommendations and strengthened international collaboration.

Following the summit, the spotlight shifts to hands-on activity. On February 9–10, the Indus Innovation, Learning & Engagement Arena at the Islamabad Sports Complex opens to the public. This innovation hub is where ideas meet implementation from Uraan AI Techathon 1.0, startup showcases, and industry expos to AI for Her, national training bootcamps, and a job fair. These platforms are designed to democratize AI knowledge, boost practical skills, and create real opportunities for founders, talent, and youth.

A standout feature of the week is its inclusive scope. Beyond Islamabad, universities, companies, and institutions across Pakistan will host aligned workshops, hackathons, panel discussions, and campus events from February 9–15, turning the entire nation into an AI playground.

Indus AI Week 2026 embodies more than an event; it’s a catalyst for Pakistan’s digital transformation. By linking policy rooms with innovation floors, it underscores a shift toward practical adoption, talent mobilization, and industry engagement, positioning Pakistan as both a contributor to and competitor in the global AI ecosystem.
