Textile exports to UK rise to $1.066bn in Jul–Jan FY26

Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports to the United Kingdom were recorded at $1.066 billion during July–January FY26, according to the Monthly Report of Pakistan’s Textile & Apparel Exports prepared by the Pakistan Textile Council (PTC).

The report shows that exports to the UK stood at $1.063 billion in July–January FY25, reflecting a marginal increase during the corresponding period of FY26.

A five-year trend presented in the report indicates fluctuations in exports to the UK market. During July–January 2021–22, exports were recorded at $1.044 billion. They declined to $945 million in 2022–23 before increasing slightly to $951 million in 2023–24. Exports rose to $1.063 billion in 2024–25 and further increased to $1.066 billion in 2025–26.

The report also provides a breakdown of the top 10 exported textile and apparel products to the UK at the HS-8 level.

Exports of men’s or boys’ cotton ensembles (HS 62032200) declined 11.17% from $82 million in July–January FY25 to $73 million in July–January FY26.

Jerseys and similar articles of other textile materials (HS 61109000) declined 3.10% from $72 million to $70 million.

Cotton towels (HS 63026010) decreased from $62 million to $59 million during the period under review.

Bed covers of other textile materials, mill-made (HS 63023920) increased from $48 million to $49 million.

Trousers and similar articles for men or boys of textile materials (HS 61034900) increased 9.24% from $44 million to $48 million.

Bed sheets of other textile materials, handloom (HS 63023910) declined from $44 million to $43 million.

Bed covers of cotton mill-made (HS 63023130) remained almost unchanged at $43 million.

Men’s or boys’ shirts of textile materials (HS 61059000) declined 28.56% from $55 million to $39 million.

Cotton bed sheets (HS 63023110) increased 25.82% from $30 million to $38 million.

Other bed linen of cotton (HS 63023190) declined from $37 million to $29 million during the July–January FY26 period.

The export figures are based on calculations using data sourced from the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), as stated in the report.

According to the July–January FY26 data, the United Kingdom remained one of the top destinations for Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports during the period covered in the report.
