SECP registers 10,421 new companies in Oct–Dec quarter

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 10,421 new companies during the October–December 2025 quarter, bringing the total number of registered companies in the country to 279,724 as of December 2025, according to the Economic Infographics report issued by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA).

Month-wise data shows that 3,554 new companies were registered in October 2025. In November 2025, 3,182 companies were incorporated. In December 2025, another 3,685 companies were registered.

The cumulative number of registered companies stood at 272,918 in October 2025. This increased to 276,100 in November 2025 and further to 279,724 in December 2025.

The report shows that the Information Technology sector recorded the highest number of new company registrations during the quarter. Trading, services, real estate development and construction, and tourism were among other sectors in which new incorporations were recorded.

Private limited companies constituted the majority of new registrations during the quarter. Single-member companies and public unlisted companies also formed part of the new incorporations recorded during the period.

The data reflects company registration trends during the October–December 2025 quarter as compiled in ICMA’s Economic Infographics, based on official figures from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
