OGDC-operated fields, along with the company’s share in joint ventures with United Energy Pakistan (UEP) across several Sindh districts, collectively produce 12,369.6 barrels of oil per day (BPD) and 111.77 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD), underscoring the significant contribution of its producing assets across the province.

According to the field-wise production data available with Wealth Pakistan, OGDC-operated fields alone produce 11,945 BPD of oil and 105.97 MMSCFD of gas, while its share from joint ventures with UEP contributes another 424.6 BPD of oil and 5.8 MMSCFD of gas.

Among the operated assets, the Tando Alam Oil Complex (TOC) in Hyderabad is the largest oil-producing unit shown in the data, with production of 7,100 BPD of oil and 3.22 MMSCFD of gas. The complex includes Dachrapur, Sono, Lashari, Thora and Pasakhi fields and is wholly owned by OGDC.

The Kunnar/KPD field, also located in Hyderabad, is the largest gas-producing asset in the listed portfolio. The OGDC-owned field produces 3,231 BPD of oil and 74 MMSCFD of gas, accounting for a substantial portion of total gas output from the operated fields.

In Tando Muhammad Khan, the Daru Gas Condensate Field, comprising Norai Jagir, Gopang, Pakhro Chutto and Mangrio, produces 200 BPD of oil and 7.1 MMSCFD of gas. OGDC holds a 77.5% ownership interest, while Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL) holds the remaining 22.5%.

Meanwhile, the Nur Bagla Gas Field in Badin, fully owned by OGDC, contributes 0.65 MMSCFD of gas.

OGDC also holds a 15% working interest in Badin III, while its 52% interest in the Miano concession in Sukkur yields a listed share of 5 MMSCFD of gas and 1.6 BPD of oil.

In Khairpur, the company holds a 20.5% working interest in the Sawan South Exploratory concession, with its share of production listed at 0.4 MMSCFD of gas.

The figures show that Hyderabad-based assets remain the strongest contributors to the listed oil and gas production, while OGDC’s partnerships with UEP broaden its production footprint across Badin, Sukkur and Khairpur.
