The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has established 43 citizen facilitation centres across 11 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts under a $46 million World Bank-funded project, according to a document available to Wealth Pakistan.
The document says the KP Citizen-Centred Service Delivery Project is 72% complete, with the establishment of citizen facilitation centres marking a major development in the execution of the initiative.
NADRA is implementing the project to improve the accessibility and efficiency of citizen-centred service delivery mechanisms in the province.
According to the record, the project commenced on July 19, 2023. Its original completion deadline was June 30, 2026, which has now been extended to December 31, 2026.
The project seeks to strengthen the institutional infrastructure for delivering public services and improve the availability of citizen facilitation facilities at the district level.
The initiative will ensure improved public access to services by providing dedicated facilities for citizen-oriented service delivery.
With overall implementation progress reaching 72%, the project has entered an advanced stage of execution, although 28% of the reported implementation work remains to be completed.
The revised completion deadline of December 31, 2026, gives NADRA additional time to undertake the outstanding project activities and achieve the remaining implementation targets.
