The federal government’s PSDP expenditure reached Rs916.02 billion during July–June FY2025-26, exceeding authorisations of Rs820.50 billion by 11.6%, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.

The division-wise PSDP summary, a copy of which is available with Wealth Pakistan, shows that the federal ministries made a combined expenditure of Rs611.10 billion. The total allocation stood at Rs565.14 billion, while Rs565.12 billion was authorised.

Corporations, comprising the National Highway Authority and the Power Division’s NTDC and PEPCO, reported a combined expenditure of Rs304.92 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs255.37 billion.

Among federal ministries, Provinces and Special Areas recorded the highest expenditure of Rs192.56 billion. Its allocation stood at Rs195.38 billion, while authorisation amounted to Rs195.37 billion.

The Water Resources Division recorded an expenditure of Rs137.49 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs101.64 billion.

The Cabinet Division spent Rs59.43 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs63.24 billion. The Railways Division recorded an expenditure of Rs35.14 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs18.56 billion.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) utilised Rs34.90 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs34.91 billion. Expenditure by the Federal Education and Professional Training Division reached Rs27.04 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs26.81 billion.

The Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Division recorded an expenditure of Rs19.07 billion against Rs19.30 billion allocated and authorised. The Interior Division spent Rs15.23 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs15.52 billion.

The Revenue Division reported an expenditure of Rs14.81 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs12.21 billion, while the Housing and Works Division spent Rs13.93 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs14.24 billion.

Expenditure by the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division stood at Rs12.97 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs13.14 billion.

The Information Technology and Telecommunication Division spent Rs9.37 billion against Rs10.12 billion allocated and authorised. The Defence Division recorded an expenditure of Rs8.29 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs8.32 billion.

Among corporations, the National Highway Authority recorded an expenditure of Rs182.36 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs182.23 billion. The Power Division, covering NTDC and PEPCO, spent Rs122.55 billion against Rs73.14 billion allocated and authorised.

The Industries and Production Division spent Rs5.46 billion against an allocation and authorisation of Rs5.78 billion. The expenditure by the Information and Broadcasting Division reached Rs3.27 billion. The Science and Technological Research Division recorded an expenditure of Rs3.32 billion.

The document further shows an expenditure of Rs2.28 billion by the Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Division, Rs1.92 billion by the Finance Division, Rs1.54 billion by the National Food Security and Research Division, and Rs1.39 billion by the Law and Justice Division.

The Commerce Division recorded an expenditure of Rs50 million, equal to its allocation and authorisation. No expenditure was shown against the Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Division’s allocation and authorisation of Rs49.62 million.
