The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Bhakkar discarded 250 liters of water-mixed adulterated milk and imposed fines on several suppliers during a crackdown on Darya Khan Road, a spokesperson said on Thursday. The enforcement teams established a special checkpoint to inspect the quality of milk, during which 24 milk carrier vehicles transporting a total of 9,000 liters of milk were examined.
According to the spokesperson, seven vehicles were found supplying substandard milk, resulting in collective fines of Rs 11,000. The official further stated that milk carrier vehicles were being monitored on a daily basis to ensure the provision of pure milk to citizens. The PFA also urged the public to report any food safety complaints by contacting the official helpline at 1223.
