The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested 4 suspected drug traffickers and seized 329.22 kilograms of narcotics valued at Rs 346.1 million during 5 operations conducted across the country, an ANF Headquarters spokesman said on Thursday.He informed that 1.226 kilograms of heroin were recovered from a Dubai-bound passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. In another action, 36 kilograms of hashish were seized from a vehicle near a mall on the National Highway in Hyderabad, and the accused was arrested on the spot.
During a separate operation, ANF recovered 10 kilograms of heroin from a vehicle near Industrial Estate Road, Peshawar, leading to the arrest of the suspect. Likewise, 9 kilograms of ice were seized from the luggage of an accused in Hussaini Chowk, District Bhakkar. The spokesman added that 273 kilograms of heroin were recovered from bushes in Kulli Sharan Ali Zai, District Loralai.Cases have been registered against all arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
