ANF seizes over 164 kg drugs in nationwide crackdown, eight arrestedتازترین

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday seized 164.38 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs26.2 million in eight operations across the country, arresting eight suspects. According to an ANF spokesperson, the operations targeted international, inter-provincial and domestic drug trafficking networks. In international interdiction efforts, officials recovered 7.8 kg of methamphetamine (ice) soaked in clothing from a parcel destined for Australia at a courier office in Lahore.

In a separate operation at another courier facility in the same city, 503 grams of hashish concealed in AB straps were intercepted in a consignment bound for Saudi Arabia. In inter-provincial action, ANF teams seized 78 kg of hashish from two vehicles near Chahal Kalan Toll Plaza in Sheikhupura and arrested three suspects. 

Meanwhile, in Karachi, 39.6 kg of hashish was recovered from an individual near Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while 30 kg was seized from a vehicle near Gadap Town, leading to the arrest of two persons. In Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 4.8 kg of methamphetamine and 300 grams of heroin from a suspect near the railway station.

In another operation near Faizabad Bus Terminal, 1 kg of methamphetamine was seized from an accused .Separately, authorities recovered 4,500 ecstasy tablets, weighing 2.38 kg, in the Gwadar district. The ANF spokesperson said cases had been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations were underway.
