Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari visited Hunan Tea Group Co., Ltd. in Changsha on Sunday and explored prospects for stronger China-Pakistan cooperation in agro-processing, value addition and export development.
Zhou Zhongwang, Chairman of Hunan Tea Group, briefed Zardari on the group’s end-to-end model, which brings together cultivation, processing, research, marketing and tea culture within a single industrial framework.
The briefing covered the company’s ecological tea garden bases, specialised production facilities and distribution systems, which support both domestic sales and exports.
Zardari was also informed that Hunan Tea Group functions as a coordinating platform for the province’s tea sector, linking growers, industry and research institutions with branding and market access.
He toured the company’s history gallery, watched a presentation on tea processing and tea culture, and attended a tea-tasting session.
Zardari said there was scope for cooperation in value addition, agro-processing and export development, and invited the group to explore collaboration with Pakistan in these areas.
