Students' associations in Kargil today held a protest rally in support of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, expressing concern over issues related to Ladakh and condemning the  police action against protesters in New Delhi. Accprding to Kashmir Media Service, the rally started from Kabaddi Nallah and marched towards Lal Chowk, Kargil, with participants raising slogans in support of Wangchuk and demanding justice over the recent examination paper leak.

The protesters also condemned the baton-charge on peaceful demonstrators in Delhi, describing it as an attempt to suppress democratic voices.  Organizers appealed for peaceful participation and reiterated their support for the ongoing movement seeking justice and accountability.
