The US dollar gained ground against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank trading on Monday and reached Rs278.40 with an increase of 10 paisas. Meanwhile, the KSE-100 index initially gained 358 points and maintained the 79,000 benchmark but due to investors’ cautious investment, the benchmark reached 78,738 after losing 79 63 points.
