IESCO notifies power suspension programmeBreaking

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Monday issued a power suspension programme for Tuesday and Wednesday on several feeders due to ongoing development works being carried out by the district administration. According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply will remain suspended in parts of Islamabad Circle from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, including Service Road, Sohan, Highway, Zia Masjid and Iqbal Town feeders. In Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Kalyal, Shahpur, Adiala, Khasala, Hamyoun-I, Dk Noor, Gulshan Abad, Rose Lane, Adyala Jail, Shehgan, Defence Road, Askari-14, PGHS and Samar Zar feeders.

Similarly, the Faizia feeder in Rawalpindi City Circle will remain closed during the same period. In Attock Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Pind Parian, Multy Garden B-17, Cabinet Division, Saray Kharbuza, Valley, Sangjani, Shah Allah Ditta, Gulshan-e-Sehat, Paswal, AWT-1 and AWT-4 feeders. In Jhelum Circle, the affected areas from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. will include Ward No. 8, Hayat Sir Road, Gujjar Khan City, Scheme-I, Matwa, Kangar, Kontorilla, Mandra, New Mandra, Hamid Jhangi and LTC feeders. On Wednesday, electricity supply in AFOSH feeder of Rawalpindi City Circle will remain suspended from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In Attock Circle, Lalazar, Hussainabad and Col Sher Khan feeders will remain without power from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In Chakwal Circle, electricity supply to Mureed, Al-Qaim Mills, Bhoun, Karyala and KSM Unit-3 feeders will also remain suspended during the same period. IESCO management apologized to its valued consumers for this temporary interruption in electricity supply. The sole purpose of these shutdowns was to facilitate the timely completion of development projects included construction of flyovers , underpasses, installation of new 11kV feeders, road widening and other related development activities. For the convenience of consumers, temporary electricity shutdown schedules were also uploaded on IESCO’s official website, www.iesco.com.pk, and its official social media platforms, including Facebook (IESCO Updates) and Twitter/X (IESCO Official Pk).
