A police rider was shot at, resulting in the death of one official and injuring another in Abbottabad. The incident occurred near the Sethi Mosque, where an unknown individual opened fire on the police riders and managed to escape. According to the police, the officers from the Sikandrabad police station were on patrol when they stopped a person who then began shooting. Two officials were seriously injured, and during treatment, one of them, Shahzeb, succumbed to his injuries. Another officer named Ihtisham was severely wounded and has been transferred to Ayub Medical Complex for treatment. District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Umar Tufail stated that the police have registered a case against the unidentified assailants and have set up roadblocks throughout the city to search for them, assuring that the suspects will be apprehended soon.
