The Community Safety Wing Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 organized a six-day training workshop for the workers of Riwaj Fabrics and Garments. The Rescue staff provided training to workers on Community Action for Disaster Response (CADRE), Rescue Scouts and the Pakistan Life Saver Program. As many as, 25 participants completed the course and DEO Rescue 1122, Dr Syed Majid awarded the certificates. On the final day of the workshop, a ceremony was held in which District Emergency Officer Dr Syed Majid participated and reviewed the performance of the trained Community Emergency Response team.
While addressing, Dr Syed Majid, urged the citizens to get training from Rescue 1122 and play their role in creating a safer society. He said that the Primary goal was to have a first aider in every home so that they could begin their work before emergency service arrived. Chairman Riwaj fabrics Malik Habib Khokhar remarked that the services provided by Rescue 1122 in Pakistan were unparalleled and it was the only organization in the country which offered equal services to all citizens without any discrimination. The Green and Clean Pakistan program drive was also launched by planting a tree.
