Director of Excise and Taxation (ETO) Rawalpindi Division Nauman Khalid has announced the establishment of an ETO Tax Facilitation Centre at Media Town Housing Society, aimed at providing convenient tax-related services and resolving issues faced by journalists and other residents. Nauman Khalid visited Rawalpindi Press Club Cooperative Housing Society (RPCCHS) Media Town, where he met with Management Committee President Rana Qaiser, senior journalists Tariq Chaudhry, Sajid Chaudhry, Afzal Javed and Amjad Siddiq, along with Malik Tariq Hussain, Haji Waheed, Malik Hafeez, Waheed Chaudhry and other community representatives.

During the meeting, the Management Committee briefed the ETO on tax-related issues faced by Media Town residents, including tax payments and other related matters, and presented proposals for their sustainable resolution. Nauman Khalid assured the Management Committee that the Excise and Taxation Department would extend maximum possible cooperation and facilitation to Media Town residents and take effective measures to address their concerns.

On the Management Committee’s request, the Director Excise announced that the Media Town Society Office would serve as a Tax Facilitation Centre, with an Excise and Taxation team available every saturday from 2pm to 5pm. The visiting team will assist residents with tax payments, documentation and other tax-related matters, enabling them to resolve their issues conveniently without making repeated visits to Excise offices. The Management Committee welcomed the initiative and appreciated Nauman Khalid for extending cooperation and taking a positive step towards providing accessible and resident-friendly tax services in Media Town.
