A Punjab bound passenger train coming from Karachi escaped of major disaster as Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled an attempt to blast railway track and arrested a most wanted terrorist here on Wednesday. On an intelligence tip-off, the CTD nabbed a terrorist identified as Muhammad Hanif who was planted explosive device on railway track in Nawabshah. According to CTD officials, the detained terrorist got training from abroad and belongs to Baloch ethno-nationalist militant separatist organization Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and he was wanted in several cases including attacks on Chinese citizens and Rangers personnel. The CTD said that the accused was arrested few months earlier but he escaped while being produced in the court. Name of Muhammad Hanif was also included in the red book of CTD Sindh.
