The Supreme Court's Principal Seat in Islamabad has released the cause list and judges roster for the upcoming week, during which seven benches would hear cases. According to the roster, Bench 1 consisted of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Justice Shahid Bilal. Bench 2 would include Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Ayesha Malik, and Justice Aqeel Abbasi. Bench 3 would feature Justice Muneeb Akhtar and Justice Athar Minallah, while Bench No. 4 would have Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, and Justice Shahid Waheed. Bench 5 Five would include Justice Aminuddin, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, and Justice Irfan Saadat. Bench 6 would consist of Justice Jamal Mandokhel, Justice Musarat Hilali, and Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad.
Bench 7 would feature Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel. As per the cause list, hearings on the review petition against the interpretation of Article 63-A and the case regarding the pensions of retired High Court judges would also take place today (Monday). The Supreme Court had scheduled the hearing of review petitions related to the interpretation of Article 63-A for September 23. On May 17, 2022, the Supreme Court ruled on a presidential reference regarding the interpretation of Article 63-A, stating that votes casted by defector members contrary to party policy would not be counted, and that Parliament would determine the duration of disqualification. Additionally, a hearing on the case regarding the recounting in NA-37 Kurram is set for Thursday.
