Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the provincial government will provide solar panels to around two hundred thousand households. Addressing a news conference in Karachi on Sunday, he said that under the Solar Energy Project, 200,000 solar panels will be provided to households. Syed Murad Ali Shah said that this will help the households in dealing with ongoing electricity shortage and electricity bills crisis. The Solar Energy Project will be launched with the cooperation of the World Bank to take a step towards clean and green energy. The chief minister said under this flagship project, all the government buildings and properties will be converted to solar power. He said the step would not only cut the expenditure but would also help reduce carbon emissions.
