Issuing a show-cause notice to the NADRA officials for failing to compile a report on two missing persons, the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday directed the commissioner Karachi, Sindh inspector general of police (IGP) and CIA to submit their reports on the next date of the hearing. During the hearing of the petitions, seeking the recovery of six missing persons, including two brothers, Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto also sought a report in the case of Zubair, another person, whose whereabouts are not known. He also ordered that information about these individuals be published in newspapers and pasted on walls. Expressing his indignation over the poor performance of the investigation officers (IOs), the judge remarked, “So worried are people over the issue that they have stopped approaching the courts for justice.” “Presently, the situation is quite alarming,” Justice Phulpoto said while addressing IO Saeed Rind.
