The Institute of Multi-Track Diplomacy, Dialogue, and Development Studies, in collaboration with the University of Poonch, hosted a seminar titled "The Kashmir Dispute: Deconstructing India's Illegal Strategy on the Abrogation of Article 370" on August 5, 2024. Prominent expert Dr. Waleed Rasool delivered a keynote address, characterizing India's abrogation of Article 370 as an act of aggression and a violation of international law.
He emphasized the need for international solidarity to advocate for the restoration of Kashmir's special status and protection of human rights. Dr. Raouf and Dr. Jawad Zareen also addressed the audience, providing broader geopolitical perspectives and underscoring the importance of academic and civil society engagement in highlighting the plight of the Kashmiri people. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from the university administration, reaffirming its commitment to promoting awareness and dialogue on critical regional issues.
