Armed robbers tortured and attempted to kill a businessman besides depriving him of seven million rupees here on Monday. According to details, a businessman Tahir Sheikh who was on his way to market for making payments to dealers was intercepted by armed robbers in Gujarpura area of Lahore. The robbers tortured and attempted to kill the businessman over resistance but he narrowly escaped. The robbers snatched seven million rupees cash from the businessman and fled the scene. The police over suspicion have taken into custody cell phones of all employees of Tahir Sheikh into custody and was investigating into the incident.
