Restructuring UN vital to stop aggression by powerful countries: Senator Abdul QayyumBreaking

Senior member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and President Pakistan Ex Servicemen Society, Senator Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum has said that aggression and ingresses by powerful countries will not stop unless the United Nation is restructured to gain potency and have democratic credentials. He said international peace will remain a far cry and communities like Kashmiris and Palestinians will continue to face genocide and mass slaughter till the United Nation, where every big or small country’s votes have equal weightage was streamlined.

The PML-N’s senior member stated this while addressing the UN General Assembly on the “Culture of Peace” in New York which was attended by Pakistan’s permanent representative in UN Ambassador Munir Akram, Ambassador Hadeed A. Opeloyeru permanent observer of OIC to the UN, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai Chairman World Forum of Peace and Justice, civil society members and media persons. Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum reassured that entire Pakistani nation across the board was fully committed to Kashmir cause and will support indigenous struggle by our Kashmiri brothers till they are given their lawful right of self determination.
