Following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab, consumers have started receiving relief of Rs. 14 per unit on their electricity bills, as Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) begins implementation under the guidance of Maryam Nawaz. In the first four batches, LESCO has provided Rs. 14 per unit relief to consumers, with the bills being updated after their initial issuance. Sources reveal that after the inclusion of taxes and electricity charges, the Rs. 14 per unit amount has been deducted from the bills. The bills now include a note stating that the remaining amount has been paid by the Punjab government. Additionally, bill distributors have been instructed to distribute pamphlets issued by the Punjab government along with the bills and to take pictures while handing them over to consumers. This initiative is part of the government's effort to ease the financial burden on the public, ensuring they are informed of the relief measures.
