Punjab CM Maryam gets briefing on Air Ambulance ProjectBreaking

Secretary Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday and gave her a briefing about the Air Ambulance Project. The launch of Air Ambulance Project and Motorway Rescue 1122 services were also discussed in the meeting. In the briefing, Chief Minister Maryam was informed about the Air Ambulance Pilot Run. The Chief Minister was also informed about the transfer of patients from Bahawalnagar and Mianwali like remote areas by air ambulance. Dr Rizwan briefed on air ambulance landing arrangements in other cities. Purchase of new planes for air ambulance were also discussed in the meeting. Use of helicopter of Chief Minister of Punjab for immediate transfer of patients in case of emergency in Central Punjab were agreed in the meeting. Secretary Emergency Services thanked the Chief Minister for the permission to use the helicopter. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her satisfaction on the Air Ambulance project.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif instructed for early start of rescue services on motorways. Maryam Nawaz said on the occasion that Punjab has got the honor of being the first province to start air ambulance service. In case of heart attack, head injury and spinal injury, the patient must reach the hospital in the golden hour and transferring a patient to a major hospital during the golden hour is a huge task, Maryam Nawaz said. She said that every person's life is precious and Air Ambulance will be able to shift distant patients to big hospitals for treatment. Maryam Nawaz said Rescue 1122 Ambulance will be present at Motorways Interchange and in case of accidents on the motorways, it will be possible for the rescue ambulance to reach immediately. In rescue services, Punjab has become a role model not only in Pakistan but also in South Asia, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said. Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman was also present on the occasion.
