PTI on Thursday also issued show-cause notices to its two senators Zarqa Taimur and Faisal Saleem. It was stated in the notices that the party had solid evidence that both of them were in contact with the government prior to the passage of the 26th constitutional amendments. The senators were asked to submit their replies in writing within a week. On Wednesday, the PTI issued show-cause notices to party members of the parliament (MPs) Zain Qureshi, Riyaz Fatyana, Aslam Ghuman and Miqdad Ali Khan for violating the party instructions ahead of the passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment by the parliament. In the notices, issued by the party's central secretariat, the PTI said it had directed all its members of the National Assembly and Senate to remain safe, secure, and at a designated location and not to be in touch with anyone for or on behalf of the government for the purpose of the constitutional tweaks.
