President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 76th death anniversary, praising his monumental efforts in laying the foundation of Pakistan’s democratic system. In his message, President Zardari emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam’s guidance remains a beacon for parliamentary democracy and interfaith harmony in the country. Highlighting the importance of Jinnah’s struggle, the President stated that it was Jinnah's unwavering vision and leadership that paved the way for the creation of Pakistan, a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent where they could live with dignity and exercise their political, cultural, and religious rights. "Quaid-e-Azam’s relentless efforts not only united the Muslims of India under one banner but also changed the destiny of millions. His vision for Pakistan was rooted in democracy, where all citizens would be equal before the law," said President Zardari.
He further added that Jinnah's leadership in navigating the complex political landscape of India was a testament to his determination and strong will, ensuring the rights of Muslims were protected and leading to the eventual partition of India. President Zardari called upon the nation to recognize and honor the Quaid’s values and principles. He reiterated that Jinnah’s vision for Pakistan was based on Islamic principles of democracy, social, and economic justice. The President urged the people of Pakistan to embrace Jinnah's guiding principles of "Unity, Faith, and Discipline" as a pathway to national progress. Expressing his belief in Jinnah’s enduring legacy, Zardari concluded that by following the Quaid’s teachings, Pakistan could achieve strength and prosperity for all its citizens.
