A representative delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Astore, called on Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain and discussed in detail various public issues facing Astore district, ongoing and completed development projects, particularly matters related to the Astore Valley Road project. During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Chief Minister of various issues confronting the people of Astore and emphasized the need for timely completion of development projects, ensuring quality of construction work and undertaking development planning in accordance with public needs.

The delegation particularly highlighted the importance of the Astore Valley Road project, saying that the road was of fundamental importance to the people of Astore. Its quality, durable and timely completion would help improve travelling facilities and promote trade and economic activities in the area. Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Amjad Hussain assured the delegation that no compromise would be made on the quality of the Astore Valley Road or other important development projects.

He said the government would take all possible measures to ensure completion of mega projects of public importance, adding that quality, transparency and timely completion would be given priority in development schemes. The Chief Minister further assured the delegation that he would visit Astore soon to review public issues on the spot and receive briefings from the concerned authorities regarding development projects and other matters.

The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for giving special attention to resolving public issues and development projects in Astore. It is said that the confidence building of the people of Astore in the PPP was a major responsibility for the party, which remained committed to addressing public issues and promoting development in the district. The delegation reiterated its resolve to continue all possible efforts for the resolution of public issues, development of the area and provision of basic facilities to the people.
