Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) always focused on resolving issues via dialogue in larger national interest and to strengthen democracy. Talking to a private news channel here on Thursday, he said that to drag the country out of economic crisis which worsened during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) regime, PML-N had proposed a charter of the economy. Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that the government was also engaging with the protesters of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) because their demonstrations follow lawful procedures. He said that these negotiations were aimed to resolve issues through democratic means. The minister also condemned the events of May 9, labeling them as terrorist acts that cannot be tolerated and should be regarded as an attempt to rebel against the state. Qaiser Sheikh further pointed out that the recent statements by the PTI founder acknowledged these anti-state activities.
