A petition seeking the recovery of PTI worker Sanam Javed’s father, Javed Iqbal, has been filed in the Lahore High Court. The petition was submitted by Sanam Javed’s mother, Rubina Javed, through Barrister Khadija, with Punjab’s Inspector General (IG) and the federal government named as respondents. According to the petition, approximately 20 police officers raided Sanam Javed’s house last night, inquiring about her whereabouts and subsequently detaining her father, Javed Iqbal. The plea further states that Rubina Javed spent the entire night searching from one police station to another. It claims the police are attempting to harass Sanam Javed ahead of the PTI rally scheduled for September 21. The police have allegedly been raiding her house for several days. The petitioner has requested that the Lahore High Court issue an order for Javed Iqbal to be presented before the court.
