The Prime Minister's Fuel Subsidy Scheme is proceeding successfully across Punjab, over 4.6 million individuals in the province have registered so far.   Punjab's Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Iftikhar Ali Sahoo said in a statement on Monday that fuel subsidy tokens have been issued to 5.5 million people in Punjab to date, while more than 4.4 million individuals have already availed themselves of the scheme after obtaining their tokens. 

Iftikhar Ali Sahoo stated that the Prime Minister's fuel subsidy is being provided at 6,420 petrol pumps across Punjab, where registered citizens are claiming the subsidy using their tokens.  He added that various inspection teams have been constituted across Punjab to oversee the scheme's implementation, these teams are visiting petrol pumps and reviewing the process of fuel subsidy provision.
