Yet another maid in Lahore has fallen victim to torture by the owner of the house, and to make matters worse the police were yet to register an FIR till last reports came in on Saturday. In the latest incident, reported from Askari X locality of the city, the female owner of the house named Farah beat up 15-year-old Muqaddas with rods and made her drink hot water so much so that the latter’s condition deteriorated. Her screams alerted the neighbours who came to her rescue and shifted her to a hospital. On the other hand, sources in the hospital have confirmed that Muqaddas’s body bears marks of torture and that her hands and feet have swollen because of the torture. Sources in the police have said that the girl’s parents have been contacted and that the case would be registered on the basis of their statement.
