The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced its decision to pursue legal action against the shelling on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers. Barrister Saif, KP’s Advisor on Information, condemned the violent crackdown, comparing it to the infamous Model Town tragedy. He claimed that live bullets were fired at peaceful PTI protesters in Rawalpindi, turning the city and motorway into a scene reminiscent of occupied Kashmir. Saif further criticized the shelling on PTI's female workers, accusing the "fake regime" led by a "false princess" of violating protesters' rights.
He confirmed that the provincial government would challenge the shelling in court, instructing the Advocate General of KP to initiate legal proceedings. He praised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for protecting Punjab police officers during the unrest and commended PTI's female workers for their courage. Saif also lauded PTI supporters for standing strong against "worst fascism" and hinted at future protests, warning Maryam Nawaz to prepare for more demonstrations next week in Punjab.
