The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced a groundbreaking initiative to provide affordable housing for government employees across all grades, from 1 to 22. According to official documents, the scheme offers extremely low installment plans. A 5 marla plot will require a membership fee of just Rs 30,000, with a monthly installment of Rs 5,000. For a 6 marla plot, the membership fee is set at Rs 45,000, while a 10 marla plot requires a membership fee of Rs 60,000. The document further details that a 1 kanal plot will have a membership fee of Rs 150,000.

Employees in grades 1 to 7 will be eligible for a 5 marla plot, while those in grades 8 to 12 will receive a 7 marla plot. Employees up to grade 16 will be allotted 10 marla plots, and those above grade 17 will be entitled to a 1 kanal plot. A dedicated housing foundation will be established to oversee the project, with an initial fund allocation of Rs 100 million. Authorities have been instructed to identify suitable land for the housing scheme and to expedite preparations for its implementation.
