Jamaat-e-Islami's Deputy Emir, Liaqat Baloch, has firmly rejected the proposed constitutional amendment, labeling it as malicious and against national interest. In a statement, Baloch emphasized the party's commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s constitution, announcing plans to organize and mobilize the public for this cause. He warned the government to honor its agreement with protestors, stating, “Avoiding the accord will come at a high cost for the government.” Addressing economic concerns, Baloch stated that the nation’s economy would only stabilize if the government implemented real prices for electricity, gas, and petrol. Jamaat-e-Islami's membership drive continues nationwide, with a political affairs review meeting scheduled for September 21. Additionally, the Milli Yakjehti Council will host a Gaza-Palestine conference in Quetta on October 6, followed by a national solidarity day for Gaza on October 7.
